Help with the apostrophe, a secret love letter, and back slang
My mum used to tell my brothers and I that if we were naughty, we'd be in "igbay oubletray" 😂
😂 brilliant! That’s some clever mumming
Gosh I remember two friends at school who talked in their own language that no one else could understand. I wonder if that was back slang!
Yes! I bet it was! A language of its own
The secret backwards love note! 😍 I'd not heard of back slang, but I got pretty good at speaking ayga (sp?) and ivagoo (sp?!) at school!
💖 Incredible! I’d not heard of either of these! But I’ve just watched a clip of Stacey Solomon speaking the latter (uvagav?) on Loose Women 😂. Could you understand it as well as speak it? 🤯 How does ayga work?
They basically all work the same way - you put the nonsense word before each vowel. So: Aygi laygove yaygour wraygitayging (I love your writing)! :)
🥰🥰🥰 And it looks brilliant written down too!
