"Moon crater of thought" is the new "rabbit hole"! I'm not a total stickler for correct words but I confess I had to stop watching Traitors season 1 because of everyone saying "100 percent" over and over and over! Not exactly incorrect - just annoying!

Ha yes! I did actually take a photo when Wilf in Season 1 said 'I'm a Faithful 100,000,000%'. I think the Season 2 finale brought the gift of a billion percent at one point.

Moon crater definitely seemed like the right expression for this: a shallow dive through the uneven world of Wikipedia.

It’s the tenses they often use to speak about themselves that I really notice when they do their VTs: “so I’m sitting at the Round Table, and he’s watching me and I’m thinking “I’m rumbled here…”

Ahh that's so true! I might try it out in my diary after being at the dinner table tonight: "So, I'm sitting eating potatoes ..."

I have a memory of being taught that this is called the ‘vivid’ use of the present tense when describing past events. Which I like. Makes the colours brighter. You see it in Latin. You’re right though @Pip (hello!) - I have to own my bias here. It lands in my mind differently thinking about it that way than it does thinking about it from a popular TV series. Challenge accepted.

Good point! I love it used it fiction. No reason it shouldn't be used in speech on TV. Or maybe we can pitch the idea of: 'Traitors: Latin'. And hello! :-)
